TOP JOB Award 2020
The best employers of the year have been determined. A total of 97 companies were awarded the "Top Job Seal 2020" in Berlin on 28 February 2020. Gebhardt Logistic Solutions GmbH was able to receive the trophy from the hands of former Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel at the current award ceremony. Gabriel is patron of "Top Job". The seal is awarded annually to the most attractive employers in German medium-sized businesses. The award, which is presented by the Centre for Employer Attractiveness, zeag GmbH, is given to companies that are consistently committed to a healthy and at the same time high-performance workplace culture.
A good working atmosphere and mutual loyalty characterize the family business Gebhardt Logistic Solutions GmbH. The Upper Palatinate company has a tradition of 190 years. Gebhardt develops and produces sector-specific landing beams made of wood, metal and plastic for intra- and extra-logistics in industry and trade. Gebhardt is also increasingly active in the fields of automation and digitalization. For Managing Director Franz Lesch, the independent Top Job award is the result of mutual appreciation, a lived family friendliness and trust. "We are all by you with each other and everyone enjoys great freedom in their work arrangements", Franz Lesch enumerates. "In addition, with our 400 employees we are not yet a large company, but have flat hierarchies. Team, trust and passion are the basic values of our success".
The central concern of the Gebhardt management is the continuous qualification of the workforce and the promotion of young talent. The company implemented an internal training academy for all employees and trainees. The medium-sized company fills management positions internally as far as possible, as selected employees are developed specifically for these positions. Gebhardt also attaches great importance to specialist careers for management careers. Thus a professional career from trainee to management employee is possible at Gebhardt.
A longstanding bond with the company is therefore not uncommon, as the many service anniversaries show. "We have many employees whom we were even able to honour for their 40 years of service", says Lesch happily.
GEBHARDT proves its family friendliness through flexibility in everyday work. Managers can also take parental leave; when returning to work, the company makes every effort to ensure that the number of hours and the distribution of work takes family concerns into account.
The sense of togetherness at Gebhardt creates joint activities and events. A project team plans these events and communicates the details to all employees. Depending on the season there are different activities - from hiking to bike tours and from ski days to after-work Halloween parties. "The events are very well received by the employees and strengthen the team spirit within the company," says Franz Lesch.
