GEBHARDT presents the load carriers of the future
GEBHARDT presented the load carriers of the future at the LogiMAT
The intralogistics sector met at LogiMAT in Stuttgart from 13 to 15 March 2018. For the eleventh time GEBHARDT inspired trade visitors from all industries with innovative process solutions. This year the orange focus, true to the fair motto "Digital - Networked - Innovative", was on Logistics 4.0 and the solutions that GEBHARDT has already successfully implemented with customers.
Internet commerce is booming: According to Statista, e-commerce generated a turnover of 48.7 billion euros in Germany in 2017. The trend is rising. Low shipping costs and 24-hour delivery require a smooth logistics process. GEBHARDT has specialized in this area and presented at the LogiMAT the Pick-Cart, a rigid, modular roll container for order picking in distribution centers. The product can be converted for special applications by means of individually attachable intermediate shelves and clothes rails at different heights.

Industry 4.0 relies on fully automated systems. Volatility, complexity and acceleration characterize tomorrow's production and logistics. GEBHARDT has developed together with its customers special load carriers for these requirements, which can be smoothly integrated into their automatic processes of conveyor technology and increase the process speed by better conveying characteristics. At LogiMAT, visitors had the opportunity to get to know these load carriers and obtain information.
Furthermore, the research project iSLT.NET was a guest at the GEBHARDT booth. The project was started last year with the partners BMW, Dräxlmaier, Fraunhofer SCS, the chair fml TU Munich and the University of Landshut. The aim of iSLT.NET is to design and prototype a network for intelligent, modular special load carriers. The development of new business models through the use of data-based services in a cross-company network is in the foreground. Project manager Martin Graßl presented the current progress and a clear example of live tracking.
"As the specialist for load carriers, we at GEBHARDT have always developed concepts that set new standards. Today, future-proof, sustainable solutions that meet the requirements of all process participants and make sensible use of the possibilities of modern technologies are in demand", CEO Dr. Andreas Sachs explained this year's focus at LogiMAT.
